Summary of Major Functions: Provides care to all patient age groups; Provides leadership to other medical assistants. Assists the provider(s) and consultant in the medical assistant employee selection process. Assists in orienting and training new back office employees; Other duties as assigned This position involves treatment of patients and requires direct access to Protected Health Information (PHI). The PHI accessed is limited to the minimum necessary PHI of patients being treated. PHI is accessed through direct contact with the patient and/or family/visitors, the patient's medical record/chart/admission, computer applications, or verbal reports from other direct care providers.

Qualifications: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program; Five years medical office experience; Minimum one year supervisory experience; CPR certification is required.
