Systems Application Analyst
Assists in formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains those programs. Investigates solutions to issues and presents recommendations to management. Analyzes and revises existing system logic difficulties and provides documentation as necessary. Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
Implements new applications and modules and supports existing mid range applications or specific modules of a large range application including installing future patches and updates, providing enhancements and problem management and troubleshooting. Act as a liaison between system vendors and internal departments. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity, application functionality and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Follows change management and all other IT standards.
Supports the corporation philosophy, goals, objectives, mission, and vision through personal behavior and customer/staff interactions.
In addition to all other qualifications below, the successful candidate will have at least 2+ years of prior functional/operating experience within a healthcare Patient Accounts/Business Office setting and experience with Patient Access/Business Office implementations/conversions in a healthcare setting.
Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems, Math, Finance/Business or other relevant area and 2+ years of relevant applications experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Note: Includes experience in and understanding of logistics, workflow, business operations and a software application in one or more of the following: Patient Access, and Patient Financials / Revenue Cycle , HR, Payroll, Time and Attendance, General ledger/Accounts Payable, Materials Management, Patient Scheduling, Decision Support, Contract Management, and Claims Management,.
-Prior experience with an enterprise wide system (Invision, Eclipsys, Lawson, PeopleSoft, SAP, etc) is required.
-Prior Experience with Crystal Reports and Excel is required.
-Prior small to large scale project management experience is required
-At least 2 years "functional" experience in related business discipline is required
4+ years of "functional" business experience in relevant discipline. 3 + years of IT experience. Prior experience with healthcare conversions/implementations within multiple applications and disciplines.
